Deutsch Stabilität Union

Well this story may send shivers down the spines of many European citizens. As Germany works through its "decision" tree to address the eurozone crisis for the long term, an option of bureaucratically "policing" member states has been internally proposed by the German foreign office. Imposing such tight controls may not resonate well with some southern Europeans.

From The Telegraph:  "The six-page memo, by the German foreign office, argues that Europe’s economic powerhouses should be able to intervene in how beleaguered eurozone countries are run. The confidential blueprint sets out Germany’s plan to tackle the eurozone debt crisis by creating a “stability union” that will be “immediately followed by moves “on the way towards a political union”."
